Why We Built This Site
Virginia offers several public routes, but none serves as a complete Grayson County file. Law enforcement creates arrest and incident material. Court clerks keep charges, hearings, orders, and dispositions. Virginia State Police manages the central criminal-history repository and public SP-167 process. VADOC covers state custody and adult supervision, while the Virginia Sex Offender and Crimes Against Minors Registry serves its narrow statutory purpose. We organized verified contacts, official portals, request steps, and known limits around those separate roles.
What You Will Find Here
- Court record directions: how to find and read Grayson County criminal court files
- Agency contacts: verified routes to the sheriff, local clerks, and statewide record systems
- Official check steps: how Virginia State Police name checks differ from authorized fingerprint processes
- Access limits: plain explanations of Virginia expungement, sealing, confidentiality, and public-record rules
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site, not part of Grayson County or the Commonwealth of Virginia. Those boundaries matter:
- We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
- We cannot file expungement petitions, records requests, or any other paperwork on your behalf
- We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now
An official copy must come from the sheriff, the court clerk, Virginia State Police, or the other agency that maintains the original record.
Search Partners
Outside providers power some search boxes. They operate their own services, choose their prices, and control their results. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may generate a referral fee that supports this resource. We do not determine a partner's charges, matching process, coverage, or data practices.
